Serving the students of Ole Miss since 1933.
We strive to help the students at Ole Miss to live fully and boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their words and actions. We seek to accomplish our mission by providing answers to tough questions and opportunities for growth in the grace of God. Through prayer, service, fellowship, spiritual education and worship in the Church that he founded, we seek to love and serve Christ and our neighbor.
Weekly CCM Events (Fall and Spring Semesters - Mass times on sidebar at right):
Sunday evenings at St. John's Parish Hall, 6:00pm - 7:00pm
A delicious, home-cooked spaghetti supper, complete with salad, rolls, drink and dessert. Always a hit! Cost is $2 per plate, but if cost is an issue for you, don't worry! - just discreetly let us know and we'll take care of you!
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
Sunday evenings at St. John's Parish Hall, 7:00-9:00pm (runs from Sept. until Pentecost)
Want to learn about Catholic Christianity? Here's your chance! "No commitment necessary" makes this the ideal place to find the answers to your questions from certified, genuine Catholics. This is also a must for those interested in joining the Church and for those Catholic students and adults who need to complete their Sacraments of Initiation (i.e. Confirmation and Holy Communion).
Tuesday evenings at St. John's Church, 7:00-8:00pm
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Usually, Fr. Joe hears confessions during this time. You can come for the entire hour or come and go as your schedule allows.
Ole Miss Women's Book Study
Tuesday evenings, after Adoration, 8:15pm in the Community Room of the St. John's Annex
Following Adoration, this is a student-led book study. Any female students are welcome to attend!
Wednesday evenings at Bouré (on the Square), 7:00pm - 8:00pm
This is easily CCM's biggest weekly event (with the exception of Mass, because our college students are awesome). Each week, we introduce a guest speaker who'll talk about a topic of faith and/or morals. It's fun, laid-back, super informative and open to all. A great way to fellowship, keep informed and to get that mid-week spiritual battery boost!
Thursday afternoon/evenings at Pat Lamar Park, c. 6:00pm, but check SFC for updates!
Meet with other students to pray the Rosary as you walk around the Lake Patsy and Lamar Park. A great opportunity for fellowship and prayer. Feel free to bring your dog and your beads - and newcomers are always welcome! When the weather turns cooler or it rains, the group meets at Highpoint Coffee (N. Lamar, just north of the Square) to pray the Rosary as a group.
